This refractometer measures the freezing point of radiator antifreeze as well as battery charge condition.
All battery and coolant readings are automatically temperature compensated for superb accuracy in an environment with regular temperature changes.
Both ethylene glycol and propylene glycol antifreeze can be measured on separate scales. The battery charge is measured on a third scale, using a few drops of battery electrolyte solution (battery acid). The specific gravity of the battery acid is displayed along with readings of RECHARGE, FAIR, or GO.
