SCS Moisture Barrier Bag SCC Dri-Shield 3000, 6.1 mil, Foil, 10 in. x 20 in.

This foil moisture barrier bag is designed to provide a static safe environment for sensitive electronic devices. A nylon layer helps to strengthen the bag. The bags are heat sealable and suitable for vacuum packaging. Bags are printed with ESD and moisture warning symbols, and a lot code for traceability. SCS Moisture Barrier Bags Dri-Shield 3000 are manufactured from a laminate of nylon, foil, and polyethylene. The metal layer is intended to provide shielding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and to help minimize the penetration of electric field. These bags are tested to meet or exceed certain electrical and physical requirements of Moisture Barrier Bags, ANSI/ESD S541, and to be ANSI/ESD S20.20 program compliant. Bags are RoHS Compliant and lead-free.

Moisture barrier bags are intended to protect electronic items from moisture and electrostatic damage during manufacture, transportation, and storage. There are two types - aluminized low barrier and foil high barrier. SCS Humidity Indicator Cards (HIC) are printed with moisture sensitive spots which change color from blue to pink when exposed to a relative humidity level. The HIC will note the highest relative humidity exposure, so the user can determine if baking the devices is required. SCS Desiccant pouches absorb moisture that passes through the bag laminate. Desiccant is packed inside white non-woven plastic or brown kraft paper pouches, and is shipped in sealed pails or drums.
