The RKI M2A™ is an advanced transmitter that can function either as a standalone monitor or as part of a larger system. It seamlessly connects to analog or digital signals and can be integrated with controllers, PLCs, or DCS. The setup process is made easy with intuitive push buttons and OLED menus. Calibration is hassle-free thanks to the magnetic wand technique used. Additionally, the M2A boasts an automatic zero drift correction capability that improves accuracy and minimizes the frequency of sensor aging adjustments.
The M2A housing does not require opening for zeroing or calibration, eliminating the need to declassify the area for regular maintenance. Its design allows for a single person to perform a comprehensive field calibration. The sensor construction is certified for Class I, Div. 1 Groups B, C, D for flammable substances, CO, H2S, O2, and CO2. Additionally, it is Class I, Div. 2 certified for all other toxic substances.
In addition to a Modbus digital output, the transmitter offers a 4-20 mA output. It is equipped with two levels of alarms featuring relays, along with a relay for fail alarm. The gas concentration, along with the display of alarm and status lights, can be easily seen through the front window.
The electrochemical-type plug-in toxic sensors offer excellent specificity, rapid response, and extended lifespan. They can be easily replaced in the field without the need for any tools due to their plug-in design. These sensors are specifically designed to be used in hazardous locations classified as Class I, Div. 2. They are available for detecting NH3, SO2, PH3, AsH3, and HCN gases.The M2A is the most advanced sensor/transmitter technology available today.
