The demist shield is a protective cover that threads into the eyepiece of the Nyx-14 monoculars to prevent fogging during temperature changes.

Who Uses It?

A fogged image is not good to anyone, and the temperature drops at night often make fogging more likely in some environments. This can be expecially noticable with goggle mounted units, and so users with helmet mounts often purchase a demist shield along with their Nyx units.
