Would you know if your gauge was broken?

Some sensors and bourdon gauges read incorrectly after deforming under pressure. You would never know your gauge is broken until you compare it to a reference.

This digital pressure gauge's silicon sensors shatter at very high pressure, but never deform. They always return to their original shape and accuracy, even after accidental overpressure. Sensor self-diagnostics will not allow operation if the sensor is damaged.

Now record up to 32,000 data points

When you purchase DataLoggerXP (sold separately), you transform your digital pressure gauge into a portable pressure data logger. Leave your digital pressure gauge on location as it records and timestamps readings for months at a time. Start and stop recording with a single button, record multiple data sets, or take individual readings. This digital pressure gauge logs pressure at intervals down to 1 reading per second in a number of ways such as Actual Pressure, Average Pressure, or Average Pressure with Peak Hi and Low values.

The DataLoggerXP (old separately) saves you time!

  • Easy to use
  • Output to pre-formatted Microsoft® Excel spreadsheets
  • Change logging parameters directly from the keypad
  • Install on additional computers at no extra cost

Pressure safety valve test

No more guess work. Simply enable this feature to increase your read rate to 8 times per second. This digital pressure gauge captures and displays the relief pressure even if you're not looking at the gauge when the valve opens.

You can read this display anywhere

  • Large display: Read from a distance
  • High contrast liquid crystal: Read in bright sunlight
  • Bright backlight: Read in the dark

Special features that require the free ConfigXP software

  • User defined unit: Allows the user to define and display any pressure units not included, or to use the gauge to display force, level, or other pressure related parameters (reduce or increase displayed resolution)
  • PSV mode: Intended for pressure safety valve/burst disk testing and 8 readings per second (captures point at which valve opens, as well as reseat pressure)
  • Averaging: Smooths unsteady readings (1 to 10 samples)
  • Remove: Unwanted pressure units from units button
  • Disable: Peak pressure button
  • Limit or disable: Zero button
  • Password protect: Changes to configuration or calibration factor(s)
  • Save: Configuration to a file
  • Copy: Configuration can be copied to other gauges

Ultra Low Power (ULP) mode

This digital pressure gauge can log for extended periods with Ultra Low Power Mode, activated by the key combinations. Ultra Low Power mode takes readings in Actual Mode, according to the set logging interval. The letters ULP replace the live pressure reading during a recording. You must stop the recording to view the live pressure. To begin or end a recording hold down the (units) button.
Note: To maximize battery life and recording time in ULP Mode, limit your use of the backlight.

Reset or battery change

Data collected by this digital pressure gauge will not be lost with a gauge reset or battery change, although any run in progress will be stopped. A reset or battery change will affect the operation of the gauge's real-time clock. When this digital pressure gauge is connected to DataLoggerXP (sold separately) and the logging parameters are set, DataLoggerXP (sold separately) also sets the gauge's real-time clock. However, if the gauge resets, or if the batteries are changed or become momentarily disconnected (if the gauge is dropped to the floor, for instance), the real-time clock may be reset. When this occurs, the time stamps of subsequently logged data will no longer be correct. DataLoggerXP (sold separately) reacts to this by attempting to resynchronize the gauge's clock with the computer's clock which will allow the time stamps to be correctly read. However, if multiple resets have occurred with the gauge, only time stamps after the last reset will be fixed. When a reset occurs, it is stored as a run with a reset event and no data.

Resetting (clearing) recorded peak values

Peak values can only be cleared when displaying either a Peak High or Peak Low recorded pressure. Press the (clear) button for at least half a second. Dashed lines will briefly appear across the display indicating that both Peak values have been cleared. Both Peak High and Peak Low values will then display the current applied pressure. Pressing the (clear) button while either the Peak High (HI) or Peak Low (LO) icon is displayed will not affect the zero value. If you need to rezero the gauge, you must turn off both peak icons by pressing the (peak) button.

Automatic shut-off

This digital pressure gauge has a shutoff timer and will turn off automatically after 20 minutes of non-operation. Pressing any button or sending any command via the RS-232 connection resets the shutoff timer for another 20 minutes of operation. This digital pressure gauge display "Auto Off 20" when turned on. To disable the shutoff feature, turn on this digital pressure gauge by pressing the (on/off) and (zero) buttons simultaneously. This digital pressure gauge will briefly display the words No Auto Off to indicate that it will not turn off. The shutoff feature can be enabled again when turning this digital pressure gauge on, by pressing the same (on/off) and (zero) buttons. These settings are retained when the product is powered down. Note: This key combination will not toggle the auto-shutoff feature if ConfigXP is set to require a password before changing settings.

Low battery indicator

The battery icon uses three bars to display the battery level. When the icon displays all three bars, the batteries are full. This digital pressure gauge will continue to operate accurately while the icon is visible. When the batteries are exhausted, the letters "batt" will appear across the display. After "batt" appears, no pressure measurements will be possible until the batteries are replaced.

DataLoggerXP (sold separately) is ideal for:

  • Pipeline leak testing
  • Wellhead monitoring
  • Chart recorder replacement
  • Diagnostics: Capture intermittent or transient events and many more

Applications

  • Pharmaceutical industry

Tracking calibration intervals

Keeping track of the calibration intervals for all test equipment can be a challenging task in which human error can occur. Calibration stickers or certificates can be misplaced or lost, or the technician may not notice that the gauge is beyond its calibration dates. Even if a company has a system to keep track of these dates, it still requires somebody to notify the technician when re-calibrations are due. It also requires the technician to remove the gauge from service once they are notified. In some industries, auditing of test equipment may result in significant fines if it's found that a gauge was used beyond its calibration due date.

Never miss a calibration again with this digital pressure gauge

  • Automatic upcoming calibration reminders
  • Automatic calibration due date alerts
  • Customizable reminder time (in days or weeks)
  • Optional lock out feature to prevent use after due date

Consistent performance in the coldest places on earth (northern Canada)

In northern Canada, our customers perform hydrostatic testing during winter, when pipelines become accessible by snowcat. They count on this digital pressure gauge to be accurate and ready for work when they get there.

This digital pressure gauge proves itself (middle east)

Oil workers on middle east pipelines operate every day in the blowing sand, under the hot desert sun. They need a reliable, Intrinsically Safe pressure gauge that works as hard as they do. From pressure testing and equipment calibration to long-term recording, they choose this digital pressure gauge.

For calibration technicians with no time to waste nuclear power

Nuclear power technicians have limited time for testing, and no time for mistakes. They need an accurate, simple measuring tool that can be configured to specific tasks. This digital pressure gauge is trusted in more nuclear power stations than any other similar product.

When the right tool matters (north sea)

Equipment on north sea platforms must endure harsh conditions. Not only do their gauges have to withstand extreme weather and saltwater spray–they have to be accurate. This digital pressure gauge is the obvious choice.
